Climate Crunch | Auto Glass Guru Takes Note of Green Movement in the Industry: Environmentally Aware Consumers Have a Few Choices
Auto Glass Guru is noticing more and more “Green” touches in the auto glass industry. Most recently, a major supplier and wholesaler of green cleaning products announced its production of the industry’s first all natural, 100% plant based windshield washer fluid. The windshield washer fluid is part of a line of products created by Daimer Industries, Inc. ®.

Auto Glass Guru urges environmentally concerned consumers to consider:

1. Repair before replacement. Replacing glass that can be repaired to like new status is wasteful and consumers can do their part by paying attention to the options and opting for the repair over the replacement when appropriate. Ask the advice of a professional if you’re not sure.

2. Biodegradable cleaning products like the products created by Daimer Industries, Inc. ® A good bio-degradable product will biodegrade by 90% within less than 30 days.

3. Proper disposal of replaced glass. Always allow your professional glass replacement or repair company to handle the disposal of your glass products.

Jace Green of Auto Glass Guru suggests, “We have competitors that urge consumers to replace every damaged windshield. I know this because we’ve had those same consumers turn to us because they found the offhand suggestion to replace wasteful and offensive. It’s not always necessary and there’s no reason to replace a windshield that is near perfect after repair.”
